Westport Students Earn Top Awards At State History Day FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Students from Westport and Weston were among the state's winners in the History Day in Connecticut contest. Students in grades 6-12 worked for months to develop history projects for their Regional Contests. Those who placed in the top three in each category moved on to the state contest last weekend at Central Connecticut State University. Harvey's Cummings Fires One-Hitter In Softball Victory OSSINING, N.Y. -- Harvey School sophomore Selena Cummings of Ossining threw a complete game one-hitter Friday as the visiting Cavaliers defeated Storm King 13-1 in Cornwall-on-Hudson.
