Weston Church Continues Christmas Tree Bonfire Tradition WESTON, Conn. -- Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Weston will conduct a bonfire of Christmas trees on Sunday, Jan. 5, at 6 p.m. The church, which is at 285 Lyons Plain Road,  re-started the Epiphany tradition of burning Christmas trees seven years ago.  The event raised $2,000 for the Weston Warm-Up Fund in January. Members of the Weston Volunteer Fire Department are present to stack the trees, control the fire and extinguish it. Dawn Egan will accept the donations on behalf of the Weston Warm-Up Fund.
