Young Norwalk Wrestlers Hit The Mats In Holiday Tournament NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Mad Bulls wrestling club competed Sunday at the Bristol Gladiator Holiday Wrestling tournament held in Bristol.  The tournament  featured more than 550 young wrestlers from Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts. “It was a nice blend of seasoned wrestlers and journeymen working their moves today, we saw some great bouts all day long, it’s rewarding to see the new kids battle and work their technique and being competitive in every match” said Randy Haus, program director for the Mad Bulls. Westport Runner Finishes 5th In Final Cross Country Rankings FAIRFIELD COIUNTY, Conn. – Westport’s Hannah DeBalsi was ranked fifth and Darien’s Alex Ostberg finished 29th in the nation in the final cross country Top 100 lists published Saturday by RunnerSpace.com. Norwalk High's Candlelight Concert Brings Sweet Sound To The Holidays NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk High School held its winter concert, Candlelight, this week. There were three performances with more than 600 students in the school's orchestra, chorus and band performing holiday songs. Candlelight is the oldest high school winter concert in New England. It began in the 1930s and has been performed every year except for two years during World War II, when regulations prevented it.

Westport's Greens Farms Academy Runs Win Streak To 23 WESTPORT, Conn. – The Greens Farms Academy boys basketball team improved to 5-0 and ran its winning streak to 23 games by winning the Farroba Classic in Providence, R.I., over the weekend. The Dragons defeated Wheeler, 68-50, in the championship game as Zach Baines scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Matt Tate added 15 points and five assists. In its opening game, GFA routed Hebron, 92-45, as Baines scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Sunday Okeke added 18 points while Tate tossed in 15. Jim Djema added 12.
