Ridgefield Man Arrested In Connection With Deadly Greenwich Accident GREENWICH, Conn. – A Ridgefield, Conn., man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident early Saturday that killed a Middlebury woman, police said. Vyacheslav Cherepov, 26, of Danbury Road in Ridgefield, has been arrested, Greenwich police said Monday. Meghan Beebe, 21, was killed in the hit-and-run accident. Cherepov struck Beebe in the parking lot of a Byram-area restaurant early Saturday, police said. He stopped briefly and then drove away, dragging her under his car, police said. Harvey Boys Basketball Team Drops Pair In Tappan Zee Tourney BEDFORD, N.Y. -- The Harvey School’s boys basketball team lost to Briarcliff, 66-55, and Valley Central, 73-54, in the Tappan Zee Dan Dinan Tournament over the weekend. Despite the losses, coach Dom Narcisco thought his team “hung tough” against the two larger public schools. Harvey played without several starters. Norwalk Soccer Community Mourns Dino Melitsanopoulos NORWALK, Conn. – The Norwalk soccer community mourned the death Friday of Dino Melitsanopoulos, a longtime supporter of the Norwalk High School and Beachside Soccer Club programs. Melitsanopoulos was also president of Atlas Realty Group in Norwalk and a 1980 graduate of Norwalk High School. He was believed to be 51.
