Carl Barrows, 83, Longtime Ossining Resident OSSINING, N.Y. -- Carl Barrows a longtime resident of Ossining and former resident of Mt. Kisco, died on Nov. 24, 2013. He was 83. Barrows was born in Mt. Kisco on Dec. 25, 1929 and was the son of the late Arthur and Astrid (Noren) Barrows. He attended Mt. Kisco Schools and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Betty Sherwood on Oct. 3, 1954. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 36 in Mt. Kisco. He was a retired buyer with Readers Digest.
