Westport Little Leaguers Win Again At World Series WESTPORT, Conn. – Westport Little League held off a rally by Sammamish, Wash., to win Sunday, 9-7, at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. Danbury Sports Dome Celebrates Grand Opening DANBURY, Conn. A vision two decades in the making for Kirk Bamford and Ray Franklin came to fruition Thursday when the Danbury Sports Dome held its grand opening. The 120,000-square-foot structure with its 90-foot ceiling opened last month after 13 months of construction. The facility includes turf fields that can be used for soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, football, baseball and softball. White Plains Triathlete Finishes Third At National Race WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Conn. – White Plains triathlete Joanne Dondero finished third in her age group Saturday at the U.S.A. Triathlon Age Group Championships in Milwaukee.
