Greenwich Cop Jumps On Fast Track To Triathlon Success GREENWICH, Conn. – Five years ago, Joe Turcsanyi worked the Greenwich Cup triathlon as a side job for the Greenwich Police Department. Last month he won the race, and he’s just a few weeks away from representing his adopted homeland in World Triathlon Championships. The ride toward triathlon success has been swift for Turcsanyi, 36, a native of Hungary. He won a race in Bridgeport last year, finished 23rd in his age group at the national championships in 2012 and has finished first and second in two county races this year. Westport Little League Rallies For Dramatic Win At World Series WESTPORT, Conn. – Chad Knight’s two-out, RBI double capped a two-run rally in the fifth inning and lifted the Westport Little League All-Stars to a 3-2 victory over Nashville, Tenn., Thursday night in their first game at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. Westport, the New England champion, will play Washington on Sunday at 2 p.m. The game will be televised by ABC. Westport improved its record to 19-0 for this summer. Teresa (Ross) Cruz, 45, Of Chappaqua CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Teresa (Ross) Cruz, 45, of Chappaqua, died Aug. 8 at her White Plains home. She was born May 1, 1968, in Los Angeles to Robert and Mary Ross. Ross was Bat Mitzvah at Temple Beth El, was selected first chair flutist in the Westchester All County Orchestra, and attended Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, graduating in 1986.
