Norwalk Woman Flies To First In Race To Help Sandy Hook NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk’s Liz Campbell fought mixed emotions as she approached Saturday’s Sandy Hook Run For The Families in Hartford. After finishing first overall in the women’s division, she fought back tears. “When I crossed the finish line, I had tears in my eyes,’’ Campbell said. “I wanted to be linked to this race, and really wanted to win. Team From Darien's Holmes School Runs For Sandy Hook DARIEN, Conn. – A team of runners from Holmes Elementary School in Darien will race Saturday in the inaugural Sandy Hook Run For The Families in Hartford. Fairfield County To Make Strides In Race For Sandy Hook FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – The first Sandy Hook Run For The Families will have a significant Fairfield County presence when runners leave the starting line at Saturday’s race in Hartford. The race begins at 10 a.m. in Hartford and was capped at 15,000 runners. The race will be the largest one-day event in Connecticut, Race Director Beth Shulger said.
