Stamford's Trinity Freshmen Battle Warde To A Tie STAMFORD, Conn. – A week after capturing the city championship, the Trinity Catholic freshman football team battled Fairfield Warde to a 6-6 tie. Stephan Alexis scored Trinity’s touchdown, capping off an 80-yard drive. Kyle Przypek rushed for 105 yards for the game and had several big carries on Trinity’s touchdown drive. Trinity takes on undefeated Darien in its next game on Thursday, Nov. 1, at Royle School Field in Darien.

Easton Triathlete Finishes 4th At World Ironman EASTON, Conn. – Easton’s Chris Thomas continued to raise the bar for triathlon excellence at last week’s World Ironman Championships in Hawaii. Thomas finished fourth in the men’s 40-44 age group, the first time he has reached the podium (top five) in the world’s most demanding endurance test. He finished 85th overall in a field of more than 2,000 of the best endurance athletes in the world, including professionals. Thomas finished the 140.6-mile race (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, 26.2-mile run) in 9:25.3. He ran a 3:08:39 marathon to finish the race, an average of 7:12 per mile. His …

Greenwich Woman Remembered At Annual Race GREENWICH – Susannah’s Run celebrated its 15th anniversary Sunday, and the Greenwich race remains as popular as ever for families and runners. “This day is probably the best day of the year for our family,” said Julie Chase, Susannah’s mother. Susannah, a Greenwich native and former Stamford resident, was murdered in Boulder, Colo., in 1997 when she was a 23-year-old student at the University of Colorado.
