Petro Wins West Division Crown In Norwalk Softball NORWALK, Conn. – Petro Oil won the West Division championship in the Norwalk Recreation and Parks softball tournament after a midseason bus crash nearly cost the team any chance of playing in the tournament. Petro defeated Mitchell Maintenance, 12-4, in the winner-take-all championship game. Mitchell beat Petro, 18-4, in the winners’ bracket final. Petro advanced to the title round by beating the Cougars, 12-7, in the losers' bracket final. Norwalk River Rowing Team Cruises At Charles Regatta NORWALK, Conn. – The Norwalk River Rowing Association girls rowing team lost a couple of key contributors from last year’s team. At the Head of the Charles regatta last weekend, however, it looks like the crew has new rowers ready to meet the challenge. Norwalk River Rowing’s Women’s Junior 4+ finished 12th out of 85 crews in the regatta, which includes some of the best teams from the nation. The girls had Norwalk's best finish of the regatta with a unit that included Caroline Arnold, Amanda Jenkins, Julia Barr, Kylie O’Connor and Madeleine Appuzzo.
