Police: Fairfield Grocery Theft, Pursuit Bring Charges For Bridgeport Man FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was arrested on a warrant Friday after he stole items from the Villa Avenue Stop & Shop and then eluded officers on a brief chase over the winter, police said. Robert Clark, 60, of William Street, was charged with failure to bring a motor vehicle to a full stop, evading responsibility, failure to drive in the proper lane, operating a vehicle without a license and sixth-degree larceny, police said. Fairfield Man, 53, Charged In Domestic Dispute FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield man was arrested Friday after he got into a fight with his girlfriend and pushed her 17-year-old son, police said. Antonio Velez, 53, was arguing with his girlfriend and her son called for help, police said. Police at the scene said Velez yelled at both the woman and her son and was confrontational with officers. Cops: Drunken Driver Nearly Slammed Into Fairfield Police Cruiser FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was arrested in Fairfield early Monday after he swerved his car on the Post Road, nearly hitting a police cruiser head on, police said.
