New Canaan Police: Missing Wallet Leads To Assault With Candle Holder NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A New Canaan woman was arrested Saturday after police said she struck another woman in the head with a candle holder. Police were called to a home on Canoe Hill Road on Saturday evening on a report of an assault between two residents. When they arrived, they met with the victim, who was very shaken and had blood on her forehead, according to police reports. Woman's Jaw Broken In Fight Outside Stamford Bar STAMFORD, Conn. -- A fight outside a Stamford bar on Sunday night ended with one woman's jaw being broken and one man getting arrested, according to the Stamford Advocate. Police responded to the Sign of the Whale on Harbor Point Drive at around 10:40 p.m. after a fight broke out between two men, the Stamford Advocate reported. As the men fought, a woman got out of a car and entered the fray, jumping on one of their backs, police told the Stamford Advocate. To Seek Murder Charges In Stamford Man's Death STAMFORD, Conn. -- Suspects who have been charged with lesser offenses in connection with a Stamford man's murder in Manhattan last November could soon be charged with homicide, according to the New York Daily News. Bridgeport Man Charged In New Canaan DUI Had Four Kids In His Car NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man charged with DUI was nearly twice the legal limit when he was driving erratically in New Canaan with four kids who weren't wearing seat belts, according to police. Police were dispatched to the area of Norwalk Road in New Canaan at around 8 p.m. on Friday on a report of an erratic driver who almost caused several head-on collisions.
