Danbury Man Charged With Assaulting Woman During Street Robbery DANBURY, Conn. -- A woman was knocked unconscious by a Danbury man who robbed her of $80 and a pack of cigarettes on a downtown Danbury street, according to the News-Times. Police told the News-Times that 38-year-old Thomas West asked the woman for money between midnight and 1 a.m. Wednesday before he punched her in the back of the head in an alley on Bank Street. Riverbank Road Bridge In Stamford Closed Due To Safety Concerns STAMFORD, Conn. – The bridge on Riverbank Road near Laurel Ledge Road is closed to traffic after state inspectors determined that it is unstable due to collapsed abutments in the center of the bridge.
