Fire Breaks Out At Home On Scodon Drive In Ridgefield RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Nobody was injured when a fire broke out at a home on Scodon Drive in Ridgefield on Wednesday, according to the Ridgefield Press. Fire officials told the Ridgefield Press that the fire was electrical, but the exact cause is still under investigation. It is believed to have started on the second floor, causing flames and heavy smoke, the Ridgefield Press reported. National Guardsman Sentenced For Sex Assault Of Teen He Met At Danbury Mall DANBURY, Conn. — A former National Guardsman was sentenced to more than a year in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old he met at the Danbury Fair Mall last year, according to the Connecticut Post. A judge in Bridgeport sentenced 21-year-old Christopher Wright to 17 months in prison followed by three years of probation for two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and one count of reckless endangerment, the Connecticut Post reported. Arrest Made In Norwalk Restaurant Burglary NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk man was charged this week with breaking into a restaurant on Wall Street in Norwalk back in June, according to the Hour. The burglary took place in June when employees arrived at the restaurant and found that the cash register had been opened and money was taken out, the Hour reported. Over 60 Stratford Students Must Prove Residency Or Face Disenrollment STRATFORD, Conn. -- The Stratford Board of Education will hold hearings Thursday to determine the residency of more than 60 students, according to the Stratford Star.
