Survivor Of 'Widowmaker' Heart Attack Thanks Greenwich First Responders GREENWICH, Conn. -- A team of caring citizens, police officers, paramedics and EMTs saved a man suffering from what could have been a potentially fatal heart attack at a Greenwich country club last month.Greenwich Police said that the man, identified as Mr. Morris, was playing squash at the Round Hill Club last month when he suffered the "widowmaker" and went into sudden cardiac arrest. Greenwich Police: Truck Driver Had Drugs On Him When He Hit Pole And Fled GREENWICH, Conn. -- A Stamford truck driver who police said hit a utility pole in Greenwich and fled the scene was arrested on drug charges, according to police. Police responded to Edgewood Avenue on Monday after a truck hit a utility pole and fled the scene, causing a power outage in the area. A truck matching the description was spotted shortly after turning onto Arch Street from Railroad Avenue, and was stopped. Third Suspect Busted In Theft Of Checks From New Canaan Mailboxes NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the theft of checks from mailboxes in New Canaan that began in December 2015. Wayne R. Barker, 44, of 10 Christy St. in Norwalk was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with third-degree identity theft, second-degree forgery and third-degree larceny. Shoplifting Suspect Attacks Westport Officers After Chase Ends In Crash WESTPORT, Conn. -- A man suspected of stealing a pair of glasses from a Westport store Wednesday morning led police on a high speed chase through the center of town that ended with him crashing his car near a river and attacking two officers, according to police. Norwalk Sets Graduation Dates NORWALK, Conn. -- After a few days of snow forced Norwalk schools to close this year, the Board of Education has set the last days of school and high school graduation dates.This year there were three closures due to inclement weather. New Canaan Police Continue To Investigate Party Where Teen Was Injured NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Police are continuing to investigate a youth party in New Canaan in which a 17-year-old reportedly suffered a fractured skull and a concussion, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
