Norwalk Driver Charged With Speeding Away From Cops Before Crash NORWALK, Conn. — A man speeding around Norwalk last week tried to escape a police pursuit before crashing into a fire hydrant, according to the Hour. Police told the Hour that an officer saw Curtis David III speeding on Martine Luther King Drive at around 2:30 a.m. Friday and began following him. Stamford Man Charged With Fleeing Greenwich Police In Two Stolen Cars GREENWICH, Conn. — A Stamford man was charged with stealing two cars in a chase through Greenwich last year, according to Greenwich Time. Police told Greenwich Time that 21-year-old Shicquane Narine was seen in the early morning hours of June 3 driving on Hamilton Avenue in an Audi with no headlights on. Police tried to pull it over, but it sped away, eventually crashing on Museum Drive, Greenwich Time reported. Norwalk Police Arrest Seven In Prostitution Investigation NORWALK, Conn. — Norwalk Police arrested seven women on prostitution charges in a sting operation that was part of an investigation into prostitution services offered online, according to the Hour. The women were contacted by police using the website backpage.com, a Craigslist-style site that offers a variety of services, the Hour reported. Convicted Stamford Felon Arrested Again After Raid Turns Up Drugs, Gun STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford police recovered a stolen handgun and more than four ounces of marijuana during a raid Thursday afternoon, according to the Stamford Advocate. Police told the Stamford Advocate that the raid on the Chestnut Street home was the result of a several week investigation. During the raid, officers found 4.3 ounces of marijuana and a pink handgun that had been stolen last October from a home in Bangor, Maine, according to the Stamford Advocate. Stratford Man Busted With Heroin On I-84 STRATFORD, Conn. -- A Stratford man and a New Hampshire woman were arrested on drug charges Thursday after a large quantity of heroin was found in their car following a traffic stop, according to state police.At around 5 p.m. Thursday state troopers were conducting motor vehicle enforcement on I-84 eastbound on the exit 69 on-ramp in Tolland when they saw a car with a driver who was not wearing her seatbelt, according to police.
