Woman Killed After Jumping Onto I-95 In Stamford Identified STAMFORD, Conn. — State Police have identified the woman who died after jumping onto I-95 from an overpass in Stamford last week as 27-year-old Abbey Meany of Stamford. Meany was killed after she jumped onto I-95's left lane from the Main Street overpass at Exit 9 at around 11:46 a.m. Thursday, according to State Police . Brookfield Police Stress Locking Your Cars To Deter Would-Be Thieves BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- Brookfield Police are highlighting the need for residents to lock their cars and protect their belongings, releasing a video where some thieves were thwarted by locked doors. Bassick Principal To Step Down At End Of The Year BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bassick High School's eighth principal since 2010 is resigning at the end of the year, according to the Connecticut Post. Norwalk Officer Returns To Duty After Pursuit That Ended In Fatal Crash NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Police and State's Attorney Richard Colangelo have determined that a Norwalk officer acted correctly in a January pursuit where a 22-year-old man died while trying to escape police. Manager Charged With Stealing Cash From Cake Box In Westport WESTPORT, Conn. -- The manager of the Cake Box in Westport was charged with stealing profits from the store, according to police. Police received a complaint on Feb. 3 that an employee of the store on Bay Street was stealing. Stamford Police: Homeless Man Spit On Woman, Threatened McDonald's Cashier STAMFORD, Conn. -- A homeless man was charged with accosting a woman outside the McDonald's on Bedford Street in Stamford, then going into the restaurant and threatening an employee, according to the Stamford Advocate. Westport Radio Shack Employee Charged With Stealing 10 iPhones WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport woman was charged with stealing nearly $6,000 from the Radio Shack in Westport where she worked, according to police. Police were dispatched to the Radio Shack on Post Road East in January on a complaint of an employee theft.
