Ridgefield Woman Charged With Issuing Bad Checks At Stew's In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A Ridgefield woman was charged with passing bad checks at Stew Leonard's in Norwalk, police said. Francine Philippo, 52, was charged with third-degree larceny, issuing a bad check and failure to appear in court. She was held on $5,000 bond and will appear in court July 28. Police were alerted by Stew Leonard's that Philippo had written bad checks at the store on four occasions in January and February, according to police reports. Miami Man Charged With Using Fake ID, Credit Cards In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A Miami man was accused of trying to use fake IDs and credit cards to buy electronics in Norwalk. Julio Fuentes, 27, was charged with unlawful completion or reproduction of a credit card, third-degree identity theft, second-degree forgery, illegal use of credit card and fourth-degree larceny. He was held on a $50,000 bond and will appear in court July 24. Police were called to the Best Buy on Connecticut Avenue at around 7:15 p.m. on a report of forgery. Pennsylvania Man Charged In Norwalk Disturbance NORWALK, Conn. -- A Pennsylvania man was accused of causing a disturbance after trying to swap cars with a Norwalk resident he met on Craigslist, according to police. Gino Rodriguez-Perez, 30, of Hazleton, Penn. was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal trespass. He was held on a $5,000 bond and will appear in court July 24. $50,000 Reward Offered In Norwalk Cold Case Murder NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk police are offering a $50,000 reward for information on the 2006 shooting death of Laray "Mookie" Moore. The reward will be given for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Moore's murder. Moore was shot and killed on June 26, 2006, in Roodner Court, 261 Ely Ave. He was 31 years old. Norwalk Police Investigate Spate Of Late Night Shootings NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk police are investigating two shootings that occurred on Ely Avenue and Glasser Street late Wednesday night that left a number of cars damaged and residents concerned. Norwalk Police: Mother Left Infant In Car With Windows Up NORWALK, Conn. -- A Stamford woman was charged with leaving a 4-month-old baby in a car with the windows rolled up Wednesday, according to Norwalk police. Norwalk Tennis Coach Charged With Sexually Assaulting Juvenile NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was charged with sexually assaulting a juvenile while working as a coach for a local tennis program, according to police. Maurice Thomas-Riley, 20, of 24 Woodbury Ave., Norwalk, was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. Edith Clarke, 51, was charged with breach of peace. She was released on a promise to appear in court on July 22. Fake IRS Agents Scam Darien Woman Out Of $2,300 DARIEN, Conn. -- A 54-year-old Darien woman fell victim to scammers claiming to work for the IRS, according to police. The woman received a call from a Washington, D.C., number on Sunday, July 5, and called the number back the next day.
