Norwalk Police: Man Reports Three Others Assaulted Him, Stole His Scooter NORWALK, Conn. -- A 24-year-old man reported that three people assaulted him and stole his scooter Sunday evening, Norwalk police said. The man said he was riding his scooter on Lexington Avenue just before 8 p.m. Sunday when he was waved down by a woman near the intersection with Ely Avenue, police said. The man told police that the woman wanted to buy his scooter, and while they were talking three Hispanic men walked up and began assaulting him, according to police. Bridgeport Man Charged With Masturbating At Kohl's In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man was arrested after he was spotted masturbating in the middle of the Kohl's department store in Norwalk, according to Norwalk police. Steve Damico, 42, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and public indecency. He was held on $5,000 bond and will appear in court Aug. 4. Police were called to the Kohl's on Connecticut Avenue at 2:30 p.m. Sunday on a report of a man masturbating in the store. Stamford Police Seek Suspect Involved In Crash, Chase STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of fleeing an accident. Police released photos of a man believed to have been involved in an accident on July 15 at 9:27 a.m. in the area of Frederick Street and Maple Avenue in Stamford. The man is wanted for evading a motor vehicle collision, reckless operation and engaging police in pursuit, according to police. Anyone with information on the suspect's identity is asked to contact the Stamford Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad at (203) 977-4717.

Norwalk Firefighters Quickly Put Out Condo Fire NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk firefighters quickly extinguished a condo fire on Gillie's Lane Sunday afternoon. The Norwalk Fire Department responded to the Ledgebrook Condominium Complex at 1:52 p.m. on a report of a structure fire. When they arrived, they located the fire behind stackable washer/dryer unit on the second floor. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, and stayed on the scene, checking for extension into the common cockloft and neighboring units to ensure the fire was contained. Norwalk Police Hold Water Safety Evening At Calf Pasture NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk families can learn about water safety while enjoying a fun evening at the beach Saturday. The Norwalk Police Department will hold a Water Safety Evening at Calf Pasture Beach on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will be hosted along with the department's community partners, Fairfield County Safe Kids and Stew Leonard III Children's Charities. Kids can learn all about keeping safe in the water and meet Stewie the Duck. Following the event, the Recreation and Parks Department will hold its Family Movie Night at Shady Beach. Norwalk Woman Charged With Hitting Cop During Medical Call NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk woman was charged with hitting a police officer and causing a disturbance after her mother passed out behind the wheel at the Duchess drive-through overnight, police said. Norwalk Man Charged With Fleeing From Police NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man accused of running from police during a traffic stop in June was arrested Thursday. David Shavers, 20, was charged with interfering with an officer, operating with a suspended license, failure to obey a stop sign, failure to come to a complete stop and engaging in pursuit.
