Norwalk Man Charged With Stabbing Granddaughter's Boyfriend NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was charged in the stabbing of his granddaughter's boyfriend after she sneaked him into their home Monday night, according to police. Avidan Leyva, 61, was charged with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct. He was held on $10,000 bond and will appear in court Aug. 7. Police were called to Norwalk Hospital shortly after midnight Tuesday on a report of a stabbing. State Rebate Encourages New Canaan Drivers To Buy Electric NEW CANAAN, Conn. – A new state program offering up to $3,000 in rebates for purchasing electric cars has spurred interest in electric vehicles, officials said at an event at Karl Chevrolet in New Canaan on Tuesday. Swastikas Spray-Painted On Trees At Darien Bird Sanctuary DARIEN, Conn. -- Several trees in Darien were found spray-painted with swastikas last week, according to police. A 16-year-old resident reported Thursday, July 19, that she had found several trees spray-painted with swastikas along a trail at the Olsen Woods Bird Sanctuary.
