Darien Teen Charged With Possession Of Alcohol At Fireworks DARIEN, Conn. -- A Darien teen was arrested and accused of giving alcohol to minors after a Greenwich girl became sick after Darien's Fourth of July fireworks, police said. The 17-year-old from Darien was charged with providing alcohol to minors and possession of alcohol. He was issued a juvenile referral to appear in court. New Canaan Police Assist At Large Brawl In Norwalk Park After Shots Were Fired NORWALK, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man was charged with firing off a gun during a large brawl involving hundreds of people at Cranbury Park in Norwalk on Sunday night, according to police. Craig Baldwin, 22, was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm and first-degree reckless endangerment. He was held on $2,500 bond and will appear in court July 14. Danbury Teen Selected To Visit D.C., Meet With President Obama DANBURY, Conn. – Danbury High School student Lexie Prendergast got a chance to see how government operates when she worked as a U.S. Senate page last fall, but this summer she will get to meet President Barack Obama and try her hand at legislating through the Girls Nation program. Darien Kids To Lead July 4th Push-n-pull Parade Saturday DARIEN, Conn. -- A patriotic parade of children riding bikes, scooters, wagons and strollers will travel through downtown Darien Saturday for the annual July 4th Push-n-Pull Parade. Now in its 11th year, the parade is hosted by the Darien VFW Post 6933. In previous years the event has been hosted by the YWCA Darien/Norwalk, which decided to pass the torch this year to the VFW. Norwalk Woman Charged With Selling Heroin NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk woman was arrested on multiple charges of selling heroin out of her apartment in the city, police said. Mary Wilson, 52, was charged with sale of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a school, sale within distance of a school, illegal possession near a school, possession of narcotics, possession of paraphernalia, and failure to appear in court. Fresh Air Families Welcome New York City Kids To New Canaan RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – A group of 22 kids from New York City arrived in Ridgefield on Wednesday to spend a week or two of swimming, camping and taking part in other fun summer activities through the Fresh Air Fund. Murphy Pushes Bill To Fund Long Island Sound Preservation NORWALK, Conn. – U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) joined local leaders conservationists on the piers of Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk on Tuesday to promote a new federal bill that would devote $65 million a year toward the protection of Long Island Sound. Norwalk Man Charged With Stealing Back TV After Selling It NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man broke into a home and stole back a TV he had sold three days earlier, according to police. Yony Grajales-Maya, 25, was charged with third-degree burglary and fifth-degree larceny. He was held on $25,000 bond and will appear in court July 10.
