Norwalk Man Charged Twice In One Day In Fights With Wife NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested twice Tuesday after police said he got into fights with his wife. Antonio Silva, 34, was charged with second-degree threatening and third-degree assault. He posted $7,500 bond and given a court date of Wednesday. Later in the day, he was charged with violation of conditions of release and held on $20,000 bond. Police were called to L.A. Fitness at noon Tuesday on reports of a disturbance. Two Charged With Using Fake Credit Cards At Norwalk's Best Buy NORWALK, Conn. -- Two Norwalk men were arrested after they tried to use fake credit cards to make purchases at Best Buy, police said. Brian Bennett, 22, was charged with unlawful reproduction of a credit card and receiving goods or services obtained illegally. Dondre Johnson was charged with unlawful reproduction of a credit card, fifth-degree larceny and criminal attempt at larceny. Each was held on $500 bond and will appear in court Jan. 23. Stamford Man Charged With Stealing Copper Cable In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- A Stamford man was arrested after police said he stole from South Norwalk Electric and Water and tried to flee to Stamford on Tuesday. Andrew Michaud, 50, was charged with criminal attempt, sixth-degree larceny and criminal trespass. He was held on $5,000 bond and will appear in court Jan. 23. Norwalk Police Arrest Two On Drug Charges Following Road Rage Report NORWALK, Conn. -- Two men were arrested on drug charges after Norwalk police said they threatened to shoot a man following an incident on New Canaan Avenue. James Joseph, 36, of Allentown, Pa., was charged with possession of a hallucinogen and possession with intent to sell. He was held on $50,000 bond. Police: Norwalk Teen Mugged By Group On Flax Hill Road NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk teenager reported he was mugged by a group of men on Flax Hill Road on Tuesday night, police said. The 19-year-old man told police that he was near Arbor Drive at about 9:15 p.m. when he was jumped by a group of five black men wearing black hooded sweatshirts, police said. Norwalk Economic Development Director Looks To Boost Business NORWALK, Conn. – Since taking over as Norwalk’s economic development director last year, Elizabeth Stocker has seen a lot of business activity in the city. Norwalk Police Seek Second Teen Missing Since December NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk police are seeking the public's help in searching for a teenage girl who has been missing since December. Karen Vanessa Chirino is a 16-year-old Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes. She is about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds. Bridgeport Woman Charged With Selling Marijuana In Darien DARIEN, Conn. -- A Bridgeport woman was accused of selling marijuana in Darien last week after police said they received a tip. Marcela Macarena Olivera-Lopez, 27, was arrested Thursday and charged with possession of marijuana and sale of marijuana. She posted $1,000 bond and will appear in court on Wednesday. Credit Cards Stolen From Darien Car Used At Rest Stop DARIEN, Conn. -- Two credit cards and cash were reported stolen out of a car parked on Old Parish Road in Darien last week. The theft is believed to have occurred between Jan. 2 and 3 and was reported on Jan. 5, police said. A woman said her son had parked their 2005 Chevy Suburban in the driveway at about 3 p.m. Jan. 2. Westport Firefighters Extinguish Chimney Blaze WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport firefighters extinguished a fire that started in the chimney of a home and spread to the roof on Sunday. Firefighters were dispatched to the home on Jackie Lane at 4:19 p.m. Sunday on a report of a chimney fire.
