Norwalk Man Arrested After His DNA Is Found On Gun NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested Monday after police said his DNA matched that on a gun found in August. Police: Norwalk Man Threatened Woman With Pellet Gun NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested after police said he put a pellet gun up to a woman's head and threatened to shoot her. Douglas Horne, 23, was charged with carrying a facsimile firearm, first-degree threatening, first-degree reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. Three Charged With Forgery In Westport After Police Find Fake $100 Bills WESTPORT, Conn. -- Three people were arrested in Westport on counterfeiting charges after police said they were found with fake $100 bills Monday. Anthony Canales, 27, of the Bronx, N.Y.,; Leslie Canales, 24, of the Bronx, and Jada Robles, 22, of Neward, N.J., were all charged with 24 counts of first-degree forgery, 24 counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree forgery, two counts of sixth-degree larceny and two counts of conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. Copper Piping, Equipment Stolen From Norwalk Home Construction Site NORWALK, Conn. -- Copper pipes and equipment were reported stolen from a house under construction on Williams Street in Norwalk. The burglary was reported at about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday. The owner, who was doing construction work on the house, told police that he arrived to find a large hole in the garage door panel. The hole had been created at some point over the previous three days, and someone had entered the house and stolen the equipment and pipes. South Norwalk's Brewhouse Restaurant To Close Sunday NORWALK, Conn. -- The Brewhouse Restaurant in South Norwalk will close its doors for good this Sunday after nearly 20 years in business. Owners Lou, Bob and Dan Montanari announced the closing this week on the restaurant's Facebook page. The Marshall Street building where the restaurant is housed was built in the 1920s and underwent extensive renovations in the early 1990s, adding a second story, a basement and a clocktower. 2014 In Review: Easton, Redding, Weston See Award Winners, Reopenings EASTON-REDDING-WESTON, Conn. – It was a big year for winners as a Redding skater debuted in the Olympics and a Weston girl won a Daytime Emmy in 2014. Redding figure skater Brooklee Han finished 20th while skating for Australia in the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. 2014 In Review: Ridgefield Mourns Toddler And Teen, Opens New Library RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – This year Ridgefield saw the death of a toddler who was left in a hot car and a teenager struck by a vehicle as well as the opening of a new library. In July, 15-month-old Benjamin Seitz died after his father, Kyle, left him in a hot car for several hours. The father was supposed to drop his son off at day-care but instead went to work, police said. He discovered his son’s body at the end of the work day. 2014 In Review: Norwalk Sees Development, Crime, Superintendent Woes NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk made strides to improve business through development and online retail this year.
