Nicole Shipp, 25, was charged with second-degree forgery and fifth-degree larceny. She was held on a $1,000 bond and will go to court Sept. 2. Police received a report on June 6 from the First County Bank in Darien that a counterfeit check for $998 had been cashed at that location.
