Norwalk Men Accused Of Chasing And Threatening Partygoer NORWALK, Conn. -- Three Norwalk men were arrested and accused of chasing and threatening a man Saturday night. David Cordero, 28, Jose Martinez, 25, and William Padilla, 24, were all charged with second-degree threatening, conspiracy and second-degree breach of peace. They were held on $500 bonds and will appear in court Sept. 3. Police responded to the area of Ely and Lexington avenues around 2:49 a.m., Sunday morning, on a report of an attempted robbery. Woman Arrested On Fake-Check Charges In Darien DARIEN, Conn. -- A Meriden woman was charged with cashing counterfeit checks at a bank in Darien, according to police. Nicole Shipp, 25, was charged with second-degree forgery and fifth-degree larceny. She was held on a $1,000 bond and will go to court Sept. 2. Police received a report on June 6 from the First County Bank in Darien that a counterfeit check for $998 had been cashed at that location. The check was from KAF Manufacturing, a Stamford-based company, and the bank manager told police that a group of people had been cashing a number of checks in the area from KAF and Netology, …

DNA Helps Darien Police Track Down Suspect In 2011 Jewelry Store Robbery DARIEN, Conn. -- With help of DNA obtained from a glove, a Bronx man was arrested last week and charged in the 2011 burglary of David Harvey Jewelers in Darien, police said. Richard Garrison, 33, was charged with second-degree robbery and first-degree larceny. He was held on $500,000 bond and appeared in court Aug. 22. Woman Suspected In November Norwalk Stabbing Arrested In North Carolina NORWALK, Conn. -- A woman wanted by Norwalk police in connection with a stabbing in November 2013 has been arrested in North Carolina and returned to Norwalk for a court appearance, police said. Monique Hodge, 42, was charged with first-degree assault. She was held on $100,000 bond and appeared in court Monday. Hodge, a former Norwalk resident, stabbed an acquaintance in the back on Nov. 11, 2013, police said. Norwalk Man Charged With Leaving Infant Daughter In Car NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested Sunday after police said he left his infant daughter alone in a car. Brian Healy, 37, was charged with risk of injury to a minor. He will appear in court Sept. 2. Police received a call at 5:45 p.m. Sunday from a woman who said a child had been left alone in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Walmart on Main Avenue. Norwalk Community College Plans New Bridge, Arts Center NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Community College is planning a few capital projects designed to help bring its students closer together. The first part of the plan includes the construction of a bridge over Richards Avenue, said college President David Levinson. The college is working with architects and design of the bridge will begin soon. Stamford Man Charged With DWI, Running Stop Sign In Darien DARIEN, Conn. -- A Stamford man was arrested in Darien after police said he ran a stop sign while under the influence of alcohol. Hundreds Of Dollars Worth Of Medicine Stolen From CVS In Darien, Police Say DARIEN, Conn. -- Someone shoplifted hundreds of dollars worth of over-the-counter medication from the CVS in Darien last week, according to police. The theft occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at around 2:30 p.m. The store manager told police that a man entered the store from the Post Road entrance, asked an employee about diapers, and then began filling a Hallmark gift bag with medication.
