Applications Open For Harrison Recreation Fall Sports HARRISON, N.Y. -- Applications are now available for Harrison parents to register their children for fall soccer, cheerleading and football. The Harrison Recreation Department is offering cheerleading for grades three through five, football for grades three through seven, kindergarten soccer, first grade soccer and soccer for grades two through eight. The department is also looking for volunteer coaches. Applications can be downloaded online or picked up at one of the recreation centers. Children should be signed up as soon as possible because the soccer draft will begin soon.

The landmarks are sandstone mile markers, which were placed along Boston Post Road in 1763. Harrison Woman Killed In Fire On Underhill Avenue HARRISON, N.Y. --  A woman was killed in a fire in her apartment on Underhill Avenue in Harrison early Tuesday morning. The West Harrison Fire Department received a call at 5:01 a.m. about an apartment fire at 154 Underhill Ave. with a possible victim inside, according to West Harrison Chief Steve Mancini. The call was made by the neighbors who lived across the hall.
