Westchester Airport Receives $6.5 Million In Federal Funds HARRISON, N.Y. -- The Westchester County Airport in Harrison has received more than $6.5 million in federal grant money to undergo renovations and replace equipment. The money comes from the Federal Aviation Administration's Airport Improvement Program, which issues grants for capital improvements at airports throughout the country. The bulk of the money, about $4.73 million, will go toward tearing out and replacing the airport's runway. The group includes James Carriere, Steve Carroll and Tom Corbia, who were inspired to join together after reading about bullying at Port Chester High School in the Westmore News. Port Chester Man Hit By Train Sunday Morning PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- A 30-year-old Port Chester man was hit by a train while walking along the tracks early Sunday morning, officials said.
