Blind Brook Superintendent To Retire For Three Days RYE BROOK, N.Y. – William Stark will retire as superintendent of Blind Brook schools at the end of June and then resume the position three days later in a move that allows him to collect his pension. New York State law allows employees to retire and collect their pension, and then resume working as long as they take at least one day off. Stark will collect a pension of approximately $200,000, which is 79 percent of his average salary over the last three years. The 29-inch cold cast piece is called "Two Sculptors" and will be on permanent display in the school's lobby. Parking Fees Increase At Port Chester Meters PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- It will now cost more to park at Port Chester's meters, and more changes are on the way. The increased parking fee for meters went into effect on June 1. Adopted in late April, the measure increases the parking meter fees from 25 cents per 20 minutes to 25 cents per 15 minutes, effectively raising the rate from 75 cents per hour to a dollar per hour. The change has already gone into effect on all digital parking meters, and coin-operated parking meters are being modified to reflect the increase.
