Furthur Plays Port Chester's Capitol Theatre This Weekend PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Furthur will continue its run of nine shows at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester with two performances this weekend. Founded by the Grateful Dead's Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, the band will perform musical improvisations and renditions of Grateful Dead favorites. In addition to Lesh and Weir, Furthur also includes keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, drummer Joe Russo, guitarist John Kadlecik, and vocalists Sunshine Becker and Jeff Pehrson. Rye Brook Moms Launch Teen Fitness Studio In Harrison HARRISON, N.Y. -- Rye Brook moms Kori Sassower and Robin Hoberman want kids to have fun while getting proper exercise. Capitol Theatre To Auction Box Seats To Benefit Teachers PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester is auctioning off its Presidential Box seats to help send local teachers for curriculum training at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Proceeds from the auctions will support the Capitol Community program that the Theatre runs with the non-profit HeadCount. Rye Marathon Runner Reflects On Boston Bombings RYE, N.Y. – Rye runner Tim O’Toole was about half a mile away from the Boston Marathon finish line when the two bombs went off Monday afternoon.
