Darien Seeks Candidates For Land Use Boards DARIEN, Conn. - Darien is seeking Republicans to serve on two land use boards. There is currently one vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Commission, and two on the Environmental Protection Commission. The P&Z Commission is comprised of six members and is responsible for reviewing and acting upon land use applications, as well as work on long-range planning, including anticipated work on an update to the Town Plan of Conservation and Development in late 2013 or early 2014. Police: Larceny Suspect At Darien CVS Also Had Heroin DARIEN, Conn. - A man was charged with having heroin while attempting to return stolen merchandise to CVS in Darien, police said. Michael Refalo, 50, of Winsted, was charged with criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a promise to appear in court Dec. 18. Police responded to CVS Friday afternoon on reports of an attempted shoplifting. Man Charged With 22 Car Burglaries In Darien DARIEN, Conn. ? A White Plains man has been arrested in connection with a string of car burglaries that took place in 2009 in Darien. Dwayne Wilkinson, 30, was charged with 22 counts of third-degree burglary, four counts of fourth-degree larceny, two counts of fifth-degree larceny and six counts of sixth-degree larceny. The burglaries occurred the night of Aug. 13, 2009, when 22 cars were broken into and $4,160 worth of personal property was taken, police said. 3 Held On Prostitution Charges At Darien Massage Parlor DARIEN, Conn. – Police arrested three suspects Thursday on prostitution charges at Sunrise Health Therapeutic Massage in Darien.
