Hate Crime Charges To Be Dropped Against Darien Executive DARIEN, Conn. – Hate crime charges against Morgan Stanley executive William Bryan Jennings of Darien are to be dismissed Monday, according to the victim’s lawyer. Jennings had been accused of stabbing a New York cabdriver in December in a dispute over a fare. Mohammad Ammar, a cabdriver from Queens, told police he picked up Jennings in Manhattan on Dec. 21 and drove him to Darien. The two agreed on a fare of $204, Ammar said. Darien Creates New Committee To Promote Recycling DARIEN, Conn. – Darien, looking to increase its recycling, is creating a new committee tasked with educating the public about what they can and can’t recycle. One of the main focuses of the Transfer Station Advisory Committee will be to spread the word throughout town about single-stream recycling, a method that allows residents to mix all recyclables into one container and eliminate sorting.
