Norwalk Workers Charged With Misusing Credit Cards NORWALK, Conn. – Three employees of Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Norwalk were charged in the illegal use of company credit cards to purchase gas for themselves, police said. Company managers noticed in March that there were irregularities in the amount of gas being purchased with the credit cards, police said. The managers conducted their own investigation, which included obtaining surveillance footage from gas stations where the credit cards were used. Darien Schools Come In Under Budget This Year DARIEN, Conn. – Darien school spending came in under budget for the first time in three years this year. The district plans to return $1,310 to the town. “It’s been a tough year, but we are pleased to actually end it in the black,” said Richard Huot, the school district’s finance director. Darien schools spent a total of $76,312,495 in the 2011-12 fiscal year from its $76,313,805 budget. The town provided $74,596,427 of that money, while the rest came from state grant money.
