Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Shots Fired In Family Anne Arundel Argument: Police A suspect was in custody after a domestic argument escalated into a mid-morning shooting in Davidsonville, authorities say. Two family members were arguing at a private home when one of the family members pulled a gun and shot at the other family member around 11:40 a.m., on the 800 block of Central Avenue West, Anne Arundel County Police say. The bullets struck a vehicle the victim was standing next to without injuring the victim. Officers were able to locate and arrest the suspect who will be charged accordingly.

Shooter Detained By Witnesses In Baltimore Charged With Attempted Murder A shooter detained by witnesses in Baltimore has been charged, authorities announced. Cowanda Mills shot a 26-year-old man following an argument on the 2000 block of Bryant Avenue around 12 p.m. Thursday, May 26, city police said. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, and bystanders held Mills until police arrived, authorities said. She was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility where she has been charged with attempted first and second degree murder, and various handgun violations.
