Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Shots Fired In Family Anne Arundel Argument: Police A suspect was in custody after a domestic argument escalated into a mid-morning shooting in Davidsonville, authorities say. Two family members were arguing at a private home when one of the family members pulled a gun and shot at the other family member around 11:40 a.m., on the 800 block of Central Avenue West, Anne Arundel County Police say. The bullets struck a vehicle the victim was standing next to without injuring the victim. Officers were able to locate and arrest the suspect who will be charged accordingly.

Stray Bullet Strikes Elderly Baltimore Woman In Bed An elderly woman was shot in the arm in her Baltimore home after a stray bullet broke through her window, authorities say. The 83-year-old victim was in bed reading when the bullet hit her on the 4400 block of Wakefield Road shortly before 2 a.m., Friday, May 27, Baltimore Police say. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Man Dead After Late Night Vehicle Shooting In Baltimore A man was shot dead in a late night Baltimore shooting, authorities say. Officers found the 41-year-old victim with gunshot wounds on the 1600 block of East 32nd Street at 11:42 p.m., Thursday, May 26. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Cheverly Man Dies Week After Landover Crash A Cheverly man died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle collision last weekend, authorities say. Pierre Dawkins, 46, lost control and struck a tree off of the 700 block of Hill Road in Landover the morning of Sunday, May 22. He passed away from his injuries Thursday, May 26, according to the Prince George's Police Department. Pair Charged In January Towson Murder Two arrests have been made in the slaying of Quenten Branch in Towson, reports CBS 13. Stephen Parker, 20, of Greenbelt, and Kaleb Jackson, 20, of Baltimore were charged with murder earlier this month after Branch was found shot on Colbury Road near Goucher Boulevard around 4:30 a.m., Jan. 9, says CBS 13. Rockville Teen Tried As Adult For Shooting Classmate Feared Would 'Jump' Him: Police A 17-year-old boy who claims to have accidentally shot a classmate he feared was going to fight him will be charged as an adult, authorities say. Steven Alston said in reports he was fearful of his peer at Colonel Zadok Magruder High School, and accidentally pulled the trigger when the victim tried to disarm him around 1 p.m., Jan. 21, according to Montgomery County Police. Silver Spring Man Gets Time In Fed Pen For International Child Porn Case A Silver Spring man who paid for and solicited international production of child pornography has been sentenced to federal prison, authorities say. Patrick Lawrence Wood, 35, pleaded guilty after he admitted to paying co-conspirators in the Philippines to produce child pornography with sexually explicit images and videos of children under 12. Shooter Detained By Witnesses In Baltimore Charged With Attempted Murder A shooter detained by witnesses in Baltimore has been charged, authorities announced. Cowanda Mills shot a 26-year-old man following an argument on the 2000 block of Bryant Avenue around 12 p.m. Thursday, May 26, city police said. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, and bystanders held Mills until police arrived, authorities said. She was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility where she has been charged with attempted first and second degree murder, and various handgun violations.
