Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Memorial Day Shooting Sends Victim To Baltimore Hospital A midday holiday shooting in Baltimore sent a man to a hospital with wounds to his upper body, authorities say. An unidentified victim was found shot in the shoulder and arm around on the 2700 block of Greenmount Avenue around 2:50 p.m., Monday, May 30, Baltimore Police say. The victim was taken to a hospital where his condition is unknown. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 410-396-2455 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.

Gunmen Shoot Pair Of Glen Burnie Homes In Ongoing Argument: Police At least two Glen Burnie homes were shot after strangers made threats against the residents, authorities say. The suspects got into a physical fight with the residents and threatened to return to harm them before firing at least 20 rounds toward the homes on the 400 block of Longtowne Court around 4 a.m., Sunday, May 29, Anne Arundel County Police say. The victims say the three suspects were strangers and fled in a gray or silver vehicle. Baltimore Man Dies 11 Years After Being Shot, Case Upgraded To Homicide: Police A Baltimore man who was shot in the head lived for over 11 years before dying, prompting detectives to open a homicide investigation, authorities say. Theodore Brown, 31, was found dead with no obvious signs of trauma on the 1700 block of Harford Avenue on March 24, 2021, according to the Baltimore Police Department. An autopsy later revealed that Brown had died of complications stemming from being shot in the head on the 1900 block of North Wolfe Street on Dec. 30, 2009, police said. Maryland Man Who Killed Innocent Couple Execution Style Learns His Fate A convicted killer has been sentenced to two consecutive life sentences after the 2018 execution style murder an innocent couple in Maryland, authorities say. Gregory Jones, 28, met up with Joshua Frazier, 29, and Ashley Dickinson, 34, to pay money he owed to Frazier, in the Briggs Chaney area Feb. 14, 2018, according to the Montgomery County State's Attorney Office. Details Released In Deadly Frederick Motorcycle Crash A motorcyclist was killed in a Frederick crash Friday, May 27, according to authorities. A Dodge Charger that veered into oncoming traffic and collided with the motorcycle near Baker Valley and Fingerboard roads around 12:15 p.m., Maryland State Police said. The male operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Initial investigation suggests weather conditions could have possibly played a role in the crash.

DUI Maryland Mom Arrested In Crash That Killed 9-Month-Old Son: Police A Maryland mom who was DUI when she crashed her car and killed her unsecured infant last year has been charged after a grand jury returned an indictment against her, authorities said. Toxic Gas From Ocean City Resort Sends Mom, Child to Hospital: Report A casual swim turned dangerous for a woman and child who were airlifted to the hospital after being exposed to toxic gas at an indoor pool at their Ocean City resort, reports CBS 13. Routine Severn Traffic Stop Turns Up Loaded Gun, Drugs: Police Two young men were arrested during a routine traffic stop in Severn after officers noticed the smell of marijuana wafting from the vehicle, authorities say. Brave Pasadena Victim Gets His Stolen Dirt Bike Back A Pasadena burglary victim got his dirt bike back after confronting group of suspects, authorities say. The victim approached a group of six juvenile suspects and alerted them that the dirt bike they were on was previously stolen from him, around 8 p.m., Thursday, May 26 on the 8000 block of Tick Neck Road, Anne Arundel Police say. Annapolis Target Garage Hit In Late Night Shooting Three suspects were on the loose after a shooting in an Annapolis Target parking garage, authorities say. Detectives received a report of shots fired at the Target on 1911 Towne Centre Boulevard around 11 p.m., Thursday, May 26 according to Anne Arundel County Police. One of the three suspects had shot at the wall of the parking garage attached to the Target before all three suspects fled the scene in a white sedan.
