John Jay High School Girls Cross Country Team Wins State Title CENTRAL VELLEY, N.Y. -- The girls’ cross country team from John Jay High School in Cross River continued its winning season by earning the Class B New York State Championship on Nov. 14. The team, coached by Tom Nohilly, Paul Saloom and Kerri Kuntz, captured the title at Monroe-Woodbury High School. In the boys’ division, Eion Nohilly earned a fourth-place individual finish.

Brookfield Schools And Wcsu Partner To Identify Troubled Students DANBURY, Conn. -- Western Connecticut State University and the Brookfield School District are working together to educate school staff on how to identify students who might need emotional or mental health support while there is still time to help them. 'Zombie Bike Ride' Hits The Road Around Greenwich Point For Halloween GREENWICH, Conn. -- Instead of just trick-or-treating, some Greenwich residents also put the pedal to the metal at the first Old Greenwich Riverside Community Center Zombie Bike Ride on Oct. 31. Led by OGRCC bicycling coach Claire Zecher, more than 25 kids and adults met at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center for a 7.5-mile ride through Old Greenwich, around Greenwich Point and back again, all in celebration of Halloween.
