Stamford's Gigi Fernandez Enjoys New Tennis Perspective At Chelsea Piers STAMFORD, Conn. – Stamford’s Gigi Fernandez enjoyed playing at the U.S. Open. Wilton Cyclist Amy Bevilacqua Wins Vermont Race WILTON, Conn. – Wilton’s Amy Bevilacqua won the General Classification division of the Green Mountain Stage Race over the weekend in the Mad River Valley section of Vermont. The race is the largest Pro-Am Stage race east of the Mississippi, according to the race website, and features the top cyclists from the United States and Canada. Bevilacqua finished in 6:31:48, finishing 24 seconds ahead of runner-up Lex Albrecht. Beth Rui finished third, 4:35 behind Bevilacqua. The turning point came on the 67-mile third stage of the race.
