Newman, who won the triathlon in the 50-54 age group on Sunday, won the 5K in 21:40.3. Kyomi Parente of New York finished second in 22:12, and Gerrianne Lockhart-Walker of El Paso, Texas, was third in 23:36.2. “I am over the moon happy,’’ Newman said. “Everything was beyond my wildest dreams.
