New Canaan Crew Takes Silver At National Regatta NEW CANAAN, Conn. – New Canaan Crew won a silver medal in the Men’s Quad and had several other strong showings as it sent four teams to the USRowing Youth National Championships in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Hannah DeBalsi Of Staples Takes 3rd In 2 Mile At National Track Meet WESTPORT, Conn. – Staples freshman Hannah DeBalsi finished third in the 2-mile event and set a national freshman record in the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in North Carolina. The record run by DeBalsi was part of an outstanding array of races for the athletes from Westport. Senior Henry Wynne won the mile championship. New Canaan's James Randon Scores Second In 2 Mile At National Track Meet NEW CANAAN, Conn. – New Canaan’s James Randon closed out his high school track career with two superior performances at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals in North Carolina over the weekend. Randon finished second in the 2 mile in 8:52.56, a personal best. On Sunday, he finished fourth in the 1-mile run in 4:10.29. Randon ran for Middlesex School, a private school in Massachusetts. Big Crowd Supports Relay For Life In Yorktown YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Cancer survivors and supporters paced Jack DeVito Memorial Field Friday night and early Saturday morning for the eighth annual Relay For Life of Yorktown. The walk,  sponsored by the American Cancer Society,  raised nearly $235,000, according to event co-chair Jane McCarthy. She said she expects the final total to surpass $250,000.
