Youth Football Camps Coming To Stamford, Wilton FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Stamford-based Gametime Advantage will conduct football camps in Stamford and Wilton and a speed and agility camp at Chelsea Piers this summer. The Wilton football camp runs from July 22 to July 26. The Stamford camp runs from July 29 to Aug. 2. Both camps are from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. The camp at Chelsea Piers runs Mondays and Thursdays from July 8 through Aug. 9 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Boys and girls ages 7 to 13 are eligible for the camps. Keeler Tavern In Ridgefield Celebrates 300th Birthday RIDGEFIELD, Conn. Keeler Tavern in Ridgefield celebrated its 300th birthday Saturday with a free celebration. Kids enjoyed pony rides, magic shows and face painting, while adults got a taste of history at the Museum, which listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. No One Hurt As Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Danbury Saturday DANBURY, Conn. – No one was hurt Saturday when a single-engine plane made an emergency landing Saturday morning at Danbury Municipal Airport. The plane left Oxford airport earlier in the day. The plane landed about 10 a.m. and skidded about 1,500 feet down the runway, according to a report in The News-Times. Westport Dedicates Playground For Sandy Hook Victim WESTPORT, Conn. – Eight days after workers broke ground at Long Lots School in Westport, a new playground in honor of Sandy Hook shooting victim Dylan Hockley was officially opened on Saturday. Armonk's Conrad Shows Grace On, Off Tennis Court ARMONK, N.Y. – Armonk’s Grace Conrad said she’s anxious to start her summer tennis season. Her spring season with the Convent of the Sacred Heart team in Greenwich will certainly be hard to top. Defending Champion, New Bike Route Part Of Stamford Triathlon STAMFORD, Conn. – Defending champion Chris Thomas, named the 2012 USA Triathlon Masters Athlete of the Year, will return to chair and compete in the the sixth annual Stamford KIC IT Triathlon. The June 30 race will also feature a new bike route that no longer goes through Shippan. In addition, a new warm-up procedure will be enforced before athletes start the race.
