Bedford Student Graduates From The Harvey School KATONAH, N.Y. – The Harvey School held commencement exercises last week. Fifty-five students graduated from the school. Among the graduates were Katonah residents Nathanael Harry Alexander, Abigail Faye Hassett and Guillermo Emmanuel Leon; Pound Ridge residents Michael Spencer Burke, Brittany Marisa Sullivan and Jesse Louis Zubren; Waccabuc’s Brent Lee Feldman and Gabrielle Rayner Paulhac; Chappaqua’s Julia Elizabeth Meyer; Armonk’s Lauren Ashley Stein; and Bedford’s Patrick Francis Taylor. Clairol Takes 2nd Half, Wins 14 Straight In Springdale STAMFORD, Conn. -- Clairol finished the second half of the season 8-0 and stretched its winning streak to 14 games to win the second half title in the Springdale Little League in Stamford. Clairol (14-4) rallied from behind to beat Instant Replay in two games last week. Clairol will play first half champion Carpentry Unlimited (12-6) for the league championship Friday at 6:45 p.m. at Drotar Field on Hope Street in Stamford. Schwartz Law Wins Norwalk Cal Ripken Title NORWALK, Conn. – Schwartz Law defeated Terzian Trucking, 13-2, to win the Norwalk Cal Ripken Baseball League championship. Terzian forced a winner-take-all final with a 6-4 victory in the first game of the championship round. In the championship game, Schwartz Law ripped 20 hits. Jason Iverson’s double fueled a six-run fifth inning  to break the game open. Gavin Kempa had three hits, while Max Schwartz, Jimmy Evans, Mike Macari, Sean Warde, Luca Piancenza and Trevor Anderson had two each. Norwalk, Fairfield Triathletes Break Through In Bridgeport FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Norwalk’s Nick Logan and Fairfield’s Lydia Heilmann have their sites set on the International Triathlon Union World Championships in September. Sunday in Fairfield, both athletes captured their first triathlon victories at the Trifitness Sprint in Bridgeport. Logan won the overall race in 54:43.2. Heilman won the women’s division in 1:01:29. Both athletes worked diligently during the winter and spring, and were rewarded with early-season payoffs. Ridgefield, New Canaan Girls Qualify For National Regatta RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Ridgefield’s Kalia Krichko and New Canaan’s Jackie Cloud are among the area rowers competing for GMS Rowing Center in this weekend’s USRowing Youth National Championships in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Krichko, Cloud, Christine Habjan and Grace Bundy finished fourth at the regional qualifying regatta last month in Massachusetts. Krichko also qualified for nationals in the lightweight doubles with a third-place finish with Alexandra Salazar. GMS Rowing also qualified two boys boats for the national regatta.
