Runners who finished were Meade Fogel, Jeffrey Nickell, William Seanor, Joseph Swift, Kate Worrell and Michael McCresh. Katina Wolfe and Maura Brum passed the halfway mark.

5 Darien Runners Finished Boston Marathon Before Explosions This story has been updated with names of runners from the Boston Athletic Association website: DARIEN, Conn. -- There were 11 runners from Darien in the Boston Marathon Monday. Five of them are known to have finished before the explosions, according to the race website. Runners were halted and the race was stopped immediately after the explosions happened. Darien runners who finished were Robert Flowers, Tamara Hughes, Heather Knight Pech, Pete Pfister and Raul Riveros. Daniel Hughes passed the halfway point. He was apparently on the course when the race was stopped.
