Ridgefield Half Marathon Goes The Distance RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – The Ridgefield Pamby Motors Half Marathon has become a fall staple for many runners training for fall marathons. Sunday’s race will be the 36th edition of the race, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Yanity Gym on East Ridge Road. When the race started in 1977, it also included a marathon. Health Crisis Doesn't Slow Greenwich Triathlete GREENWICH, Conn. — Greenwich’s Katha Diddel-Warren reached the podium in the Westchester Triathlon for the fifth straight year Sept. 23. This year’s victory in her age group, however, was far and away her most meaningful. Diddel-Warren won her age group in 2:54:48, nearly six minutes ahead of her closest challenger. But the resulting concussion ended her soccer career in the fall of 2010. Calcano, who stayed in the game and played the entire second half, is not alone in suffering head trauma in soccer.
