Fairfield Woman Wins Race In New Canaan NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Peter Brady of Jersey City, N.J., and Fairfield’s Cait Bradley were the top men’s and women’s finishers Wednesday in the Four on the Fourth road race in New Canaan. Brady, 40,covered the four-mile course in 21:46. Bradley, 25, won in 23:43. Tim Downs of Norwalk took second in the overall field, followed by Joe Mummert of Southbury. Rowayton Falls In District 1 Little League Tourney NORWALK, Conn. – Darien National rallied for three runs in the sixth inning to defeat Rowayton, 3-2, in the District 1 Little League Tournament. Rowayton finished pool play 0-4. Andrew Matthews shut out Darien on two hits until he reached the 85-pitch limit in the fifth inning. Jack Feinstein relieved him, and two errors helped Darien piece together the winning rally in the sixth. Matthews struck out six and walked four. Norwalk River Rowers Win Three Golds in Philadelphia NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk River Rowing Association crews won 10 medals, including three golds, this past weekend at the Independence Day Regatta in Philadelphia. Among the medal winners were Alex Stonehill and Caroline Demko, who teamed with Kylie O’Connor, Julia Barr and cox Vishesh Ramseh to win silver in the Women’s Junior 4+ final.
