Both pitchers were in command, only allowing two balls to be put in play, while striking out 15 batters. Joslyn went 4 2/3 innings and allowed one run and struck out 11. Weston Rower Earns Olympic Berth FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Weston’s Nick LaCava will represent the United States in the Summer Olympics in rowing, but New Canaan’s Andrew Campbell fell just short at the Final Olympic Qualification regatta in Lucerne, Switzerland. LaCava qualified with the Lightweight Men’s Four on Tuesday. Campbell competed in the Lightweight Men’s Double Sculls final on Wednesday. Norwalk Golfer Places 2nd at State Event NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk’s Tommy McDonagh finished tied for second Wednesday in the Connecticut State Golf Association’s Palmer Cup tournament at the Country Club of Waterbury. McDonagh, who plays out of Shorehaven, finished with a 54-hole total of 1-over-par 208. Sam Bernstein won with a total of 4-under 204. Norwalk-Based Boys U15 Team Wins Two Hoop Titles NORWALK, Conn. – The TMT 15-and-under boys basketball team, based out of the Carver Center in Norwalk, won two tournaments in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts in recent competition. The Norwalk-based team won the Penn/Jersey tournament in Philadelphia in early May, and last weekend won the Hall of Fame tournament in Springfield, Mass. Team members include Davante Thomas, Ray Featherston, Jeremy Linton, Justice Page, A.J. Jerome, Roy Kane, Timothy Hinton, Matt Shifrin and Charlie Hoffman. The team is coached by Mike McElveen.

Greenwich Girls Take 2nd at League Track Meet GREENWICH, Conn. – Greenwich High's girls track and field team battled until the final event before falling to Darien in the race for the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference track and field championship Tuesday at Danbury High School.
