Greens Farms Girls Lacrosse Nets Narrow Win WESTPORT, Conn. – Phoebe Wong scored five goals as the Greens Farms Academy girls lacrosse team nipped Convent of the Sacred Heart, 15-14, in a thrilling game Tuesday in Westport. Meighan Grady and Campbell Goldsmith, both from Darien, scored four goals each for Greens Farms, which trailed 8-7 at halftime. Kaitlin Ball and Tia Carson also scored, while goalie Morgan Bingham made 10 saves. Greens Farms has won four straight games heading into Saturday’s game against Ethel Walker School.

McMahon Golfers Win Tight Match Over Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. – Brien McMahon High’s boys golf team edged Norwalk High by four strokes as both teams posted season-best scores Tuesday in the annual Courville Cup at Shorehaven Country Club. McMahon (6-3) shot 158 while the Bears (5-5) shot 162. The match was the closest competition between the schools in seven years. McMahon’s John Sabia earned medalist honors by posting a 36. Fairfield County Runners Win Minute Man Trophies FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Runners from Fairfield County ran off with the top hardware overall and in age groups at Sunday’s Minute Man 5K and 10K races in Westport. Norwalk’s Noredeine Abdelfatah won the men’s 10K, and Stamford’s Sharon Lemberger captured honors in the women’s division. Fairfield Runners Earn Honors at Westport Races FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Several Fairfield runners took home hardware from Sunday’s Minute Man 5K and 10K races in Westport. In the men’s 5K, Brian Peterson, 16, won the 15-18-year-old age group in 18:54. In the 50-59 age group, Ian Parmiter took second. In the women’s 10K, Meade Fogel finished second in the 30-39 age group and fifth overall. Kim Driscoll was second in the women’s 50-59 age division. Event WILTON, Conn. -- The previously undefeated Wilton Blue 5th grade boys lacrosse team travelled to Chatham, N.J. last weekend, along with an entourage of fans, parental boosters, and coaches, to face three strong squads. The boys lost their first two games to Chatham and Mountain Lakes, however, after inspiring speeches from coaches Brian Colburn and Chris Previte, the boys came back to defeat Summit. 4 Divers From Norwalk Team Reach National Finals FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Four divers from the Norwalk-based Next Generation team reached the finals in the recent YMCA National Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
