Record Field Boogies for Bunnies in Darien DARIEN, Conn. — Darien’s Peter Watson and Wilton’s Amy Bevilaqua were the men’s and women’s overall winners in Saturday’s Bunny Boogie 3-mile road race in Darien. The race attracted a record 235 finishers, eclipsing the previous mark of 194 in 2009. Watson, a junior at Williams College and a member of the school’s cross country team, ran 15:36.4. Stamford’s Jeff Watson took second in 16:41.9, while Greenwich’s Andrew Jarombek was third among men in 17:13.3. New Canaan Gymnast Takes Second at State Meet STAMFORD, Conn. – New Canaan gymnast Caroline Fitzpatrick finished second all-around in the Level 10 state championships at Pomperaug High School. The runner-up finish sends Fitzpatrick, who trains at Arena Gymnastics in Stamford, to the regional competition on April 20. Fitpatrick finished with an overall total of 37.075. Friend's Support Helps Greenwich Woman Hit 100 GREENWICH, Conn. – Greenwich’s Emmy Stocker was exhausted and feeling lousy while still 50 miles from the finish line of last weekend’s Umstead 100 Mile endurance run in Raleigh, N.C. Fortunately for Stocker, Hugo Mujica came to her support. Mujica, also of Greenwich, drove to Umstead State Park and met up with Stocker midway through the race. With Mujica helping her for the next 37 miles, she pulled it together and finished in 23 hours, 48 minutes and 24 seconds.
