Meet NORWALK, Conn. – The Norwalk-based Zeus Swim team had two members qualify for Junior Nationals and seven for a sectional meet in a strong performance at the SunKissed Invitational in Charlotte, N.C. Nick Wargo and Paige Delago qualified for the Junior Nationals. Sectional qualifiers included Wargo, Delago, Anthony Dell’Isola, Olivia Haskell, Katie Wargo, Lauren Czulewicz and Stephanie Czulewicz. Now a senior on the Westhill High School softball team, she is beginning her third year as the starting backstop for the Vikings. “I kind of got sucked into it,’’ said Joseph, whose sister, Jen, was a standout pitcher for the Vikings. “Somebody got hurt and they asked me to do it. My sister was the first player I ever caught.” It’s not uncommon for softball players to move frequently throughout their careers on youth travel teams as they proceed to high school. Tourney FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — The Connecticut Premier Hoops Development (PHD) dominated the Under 13 division in the Easter One Day Shoot Out in Brewster, N.Y. All teams played three games on Saturday. If the Vikings are going to play in their third straight title game, they will need contributions from some new additions. The Vikings lost three key players from last year’s squad, which lost to Conard, 4-1, in the title game.
