Darien's Bunny Boogie Goes High Tech DARIEN, Conn. – The annual Bunny Boogie three-mile race has marched to the head of the line in using technology for pre-registered runners. The 31st edition of the three-mile event begins Saturday at 9 a.m. at Pear Tree Point in Darien. Runners who pre-register can go to Runner’s Roost in Darien through Friday at 6 p.m. and use a laptop to call up or input their information. They will be assigned a bib number on the spot. Darien Hosts Figure Skating Event in April DARIEN, Conn. — The 28th annual Southern Connecticut Open will be held at the Darien Ice Rink on April 20, 21 and 22. This event is sanctioned by the U.S. Figure Skating Association. More than 350 skaters from all over the Northeast will compete in freestyle and dance events. Gymnastics Coach Named at New Stamford Facility STAMFORD, Conn. – Byron Knox has been named the director of gymnastics and head girls team coach at Chelsea Piers Connecticut. The facility is scheduled to open in July in Stamford. Knox serves as the head coach of the University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics program. He has led the program to USA Gymnastics national championship titles in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
