Hompe Scores 7 Goals to Set State Record NEW CANAAN, Conn. – New Canaan’s Olivia Hompe set a state record with seven goals Thursday as the Rams girls hockey team routed Springfield Cathedral, 9-4, at Terry Conners Rink. Hompe, a junior, broke the record of six goals she shared with Maggie Westfal, another former New Canaan star. Hompe also netted an assist for New Canaan (6-0).
