The game takes on added significance for each team as they try to secure playoff berths. The Giants (7-7) desperately need to win to make next weekend’s contest against Dallas a matchup for the NFC East title. The Jets (8-6) control their playoff destiny but need to beat the Giants as they look to secure a wild card berth. So, who will win this weekend? Hartford Team Wins Flag Football Event at Wakeman FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Hartford Boys & Girls Club won a flag football tournament hosted earlier this month by the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club in Fairfield.  The statewide tournament included teams from Redding, Greenwich, Stamford, LNV Shelton, Wakeman Smilow-Burroughs in Bridgeport, Wakeman Southport Clubhouse, Ridgefield, New Haven and Hartford Boys & Girls Club. More than 100 children competed in the event on the turf field at Wakeman. Greenwich Boys & Girls Club finished second, and Southport Wakeman Boys & Girls Club took third.

The Wahoo 13/14 girls captured first place in their division.
