Weston Marathoner Runs to Support Co-Worker WESTON, Conn. – Weston’s Kurt Bolin will ahve achieved his primary goal even before he steps on the starting line at the Nov. 6 New York City Marathon. Bolin, who will be running the race for the first time, has raised over $6,000 for Fred’s Team, which raises funds to support cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. It also is the first time Bolin will run for charity. He is doing it in support of a co-worker whose 28-year-old son, Tucker Davis, died from a rare form of liver cancer in 2010. Barlow Finishes Strong in State Cross Country EASTON, Conn. – Joel Barlow junior Logan Fulton finished third and the Falcons’ girls team finished fourth to lead a strong performance by the school at the state cross country championships Saturday at Wickham Park in Manchester. Barlow’s boys finished 10th in the Class M championships. Fulton took third in 16:39. Suffield’s Danie Moroney won in 16:21, while Rocky Hill’s Joseph Crafa took second in 16:32.
